Three JJR Leaders Named to JJR Shadow Board
JJR has announced the selection of three employees to serve on its Shadow Board – Nick Bucher, John Jordan, and Liz Willis.
“We’re so pleased to welcome Nick, John, and Liz to our Shadow Board,” shared Carly Cox, JJR President and Chief Operating Officer. “Their unique perspectives and experiences are welcome additions to the board, and we are thankful for their willingness to engage in our collective success.”
The Shadow Board is a five-member team of select JJR employees that meets quarterly with JJR’s Advisory Board to provide perspective and counsel on topics such as:
Overall company health
Progress towards strategic plan
New initiatives
Challenges and threats
Changing market conditions
Bucher, Jordan, and Willis were selected by JJR executives after completing an application and providing a supervisor letter of support. Each will serve a two-year term.
Nick Bucher joined JJR in 2021. As a business analyst in the Dayton office, he provides acquisition support excellence on a U.S. Air Force contract. He also serves as JJR’s community liaison to Shoes 4 the Shoeless, a non-profit that provides new, correctly fitting gym shoes and socks to Dayton area children in need.
John Jordan serves as an acquisition program manager for a U.S. Air Force client, leveraging his expertise to improve the client’s program efficiency. He has been with JJR in Dayton since 2020 and participates in the JJR Book Club and Leadership Engagement Summits. In his personal time, he also acts as secretary on the Board of Directors for the Aircraft Armament Chiefs Association, which serves and connects the armament community at large.
Liz Willis joined JJR in 2020 as a program analyst in Washington, DC, and was quickly promoted to lead program analyst. Her work supports the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in their efforts to award grants to Veteran and family health research projects. Willis also recommends process improvements within the program and is deeply involved in mentoring new hires and serving as a resource to her peers. She participates in the JJR Book Club.
“Shadow Board gives employees the opportunity to inform strategy that drives the success of the entire company,” said Cox. “I look forward to our new members’ inputs as they help lead JJR toward our goal of improving the health, well-being, and security of our communities and nation.”
