JJR Celebrates Promotions in Prep for Company Growth

Dayton, Ohio—JJR is excited to announce the promotion of six employees, which includes a senior leader promotion in support of JJR’s plans for managed, healthy growth.

“I’m happy to announce that we have promoted Nick Bucher, Jill Delaney-Shal, John Jordan, Jacqueline Gill, Rachel Maki, and Joe Skinner,” shared Carly Cox, JJR President and Chief Operating Officer. “They’ve all shown they have the skills, professionalism, expertise, and commitment to service to take their careers to the next level at JJR. I’m excited to see them excel as they support JJR in achieving quality growth and impacting our community.”

Cox also explained that the promotion of Jill Delaney-Shal to Senior Vice President of Client Experience is part of a reorganization that will place Delaney-Shal over the entire Client Experience division and form a broad, horizontal division structure capable of adapting to rapid growth.

Delaney-Shal, who came to JJR in 2017, most recently excelled as a vice president in the Client Experience division, where she strengthened relationships with her portfolio’s clients and teaming partners while expanding and investing in her employee team. She is also active in JJR employee initiatives, which include serving as JJR’s community liaison to Gala of Hope Foundation, a Dayton-based organization providing financial resources for cancer patients, cancer treatment, and local cancer research.

“Jill is amazing at building a team, building relationships with clients, and having a service mindset,” said Cox. “Her move to Senior Vice President will help JJR maintain its culture of service excellence as we lean into projected rapid growth. She’s just the person we need to lead this expanding team confidently into the future.”

Cox also celebrated the following promotions:

  • Joe Skinner has been promoted to Vice President of Capture. Skinner played a key role in JJR’s 2021 growth, orchestrating the many activities required to grow existing portfolios and win new contracts. In particular, he led development and sales for JJR’s Digital Workforce Solution, which attracted clients across the Federal Government and created new opportunities for staff. He will continue to coordinate daily capture activities, assist in developing new solution offerings, and help design and implement JJR’s annual marketing and sales plan.

  • Nick Bucher has been named Business Development and Digital Product Manager. In his new role, he will help connect potential clients and partners to JJR and will focus on growing and promoting JJR’s Digital Workforce Solution. Bucher joined JJR in 2021 as a business analyst providing acquisition support to a U.S. Air Force client. He is JJR’s community liaison to Shoes 4 the Shoeless, a Dayton non-profit that provides new, correctly fitting gym shoes and socks to Dayton area children in need.

  • John Jordan has been promoted to Program Manager on a U.S. Air Force contract, where he will continue leveraging his expertise to improve program efficiency for the client. Jordan has been with JJR since 2020 and, in his personal time, acts as secretary on the Board of Directors for the Aircraft Armament Chiefs Association, which serves and connects the armament community at large.

  • Jacqueline Gill has become Program Manager for JJR’s new Social Security Administration (SSA) contract. In her three-year tenure at JJR, Gill was responsible for applying and iterating the company’s human-centered design tool — called Magnify© — to help clients improve their team, system, or organizational performance. She also served as a business analyst on a U.S. Air Force contract, helping the client improve and automate business processes. In her new role, she will lead delivery of digital transformation services to SSA. Gill serves as JJR’s community liaison to the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton and is the founder and co-leader of JJR’s Book Club.

  • Rachel Maki has been named Workforce Development Manager and will use this role to grow JJR recruitment, training, and community/campus relations activities. She has been with JJR since 2017, supporting the Market Development and Growth Team in business development, event planning, networking, and proposal management. Maki is JJR’s community liaison to Dayton Children’s Hospital.

“I can’t wait to see the amazing things our team will do in 2022 as they help lead JJR toward our goal of improving the health, well-being, and security of our communities and nation,” said Cox.
